SAMIA JAHANGIRI

A multidisciplinary, Samia Jahangiri is a visual artist, photographer, writer, amateur cook, and avid chicken wing enthusiast. Having been born, raised, and frequented in cultures outside of her own, she brings a unique perspective into her work as a designer and writer based out of New Jersey. An advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, Samia has taken various leadership and volunteer roles within her colleges and religious community, and additionally, has won awards working in corporate, higher education, and local government environments promoting multiculturalism through visual communication.

Much of her design work is an experimentation of typography, which aims to highlight and celebrate the nuances of cultural heritage through colour, composition, and pattern; whilst her journalistic endeavours are an exploration of the socioeconomics and geopolitics that shape these cultural differences.
